Design exercises are something I do here and there to keep the creative juices flowing. I sit down and pick a single page or component from an existing experience I’ve come across in the wild and redesign it, or I do something purely conceptual. There are no set processes, standards, guidelines, etc….there is only one rule - have fun while exercising the design demons!

With my last client I had the opportunity to work on a complete overhaul of their legacy Zelle experience. As a Zelle user personally, I really enjoyed this project and decided to recreate some of the experience in my own way with generic branding.

Underdog is an up and coming fantasy sports app hoping to compete with the likes of FanDuel and Draft Kings, offering a variety of different daily fantasy sports games.

I love fantasy sports and have been playing for years, so I thought it would be fun to do a quick redesign of one of their screens, the lineup points tracker.

Three Stars is a local hobby shop that specializes in trading cards and collectibles. They are the most prominent company in the Minneapolis Metro Area as well as have one of the largest collections in the country on Beckett’s digital marketplace.

As a big sports card collector and regular user of their website, I thought it would be fun to do a quick refresh of their homepage and their mobile navigation menu.

TIAA, now EverBank, is a market-leading retirement company and banking institution. Having led application platform teams and design teams, I had to check out one of their more basic product applications, an application for a checking account. Because I love working with forms and applications, I did three quick versions of the redesign.
